The Good
  • Doesn’t transfer! A thin layer of loose powder is required to set the foundation for a more long lasting wear in our hot and humid weather.
  • Glides on smoothly! NO streaks!
  • Lightweight texture that feels very comfortable on the skin.
  • Coverage is medium to full coverage, however, the cakey look is inevitable if you do intend to go for full coverage. For base makeup, less is always more :)
  • 12 shades are very suitable for typical asian skintones.
The Bad
  • Expensive. I use this foundation everyday, 3 pumps for the entire face and for some light concealing around my eyes. I will definitely run out of this in 2 months’ time at this rate! As a student, the price tag is still something that sort of bothers me but I’m willing to save up for it because I like it that much.
  • Still need to blot t-zone after 4 hours of wear. But then again, no touchups needed! Just blot, and i’m good to go~
Overall Rating  5 out of 5
Will I repurchase this? YES!I had such a hard time finding this foundation because the lighter shades were sold out EVERYWHERE! I was deciding between PO-03 and PO-04, but got the PO-03 as it’s more neutral toned with a slight bit of yellow tones to it.

As a guide:

  • BO – more yellow toned
  • O – Neutral
  • PO- more pink toned

PO-04 is a true pink based beige colour, so that’s a straight no-no for me. I can also take O-03, but since that’s such a popular shade, it’s OOS everywhere. For me, O-04 and PO-03 are quite similar when blended out. I was recommended to get PO-04 by the sales assistant. Complete mismatch! My advise is to NOT LISTEN to the SA if you yourself already know the shade that you normally tend to buy and is suitable for you. Swatch it on your neck, and if the colour disappears into the neck’s skin tone, then that’s your shade. I prefer to do it this way than swatching the colour on my jawline as it tends to give me a better assessment of the colour. After all, the whole idea is to match your face to your neck. So do what’s most comfortable for you, or kindly ask for a sample from the SA to test it out outdoors in natural lighting.

    1. Hi Roxanne!
Hmm, I do 2 rounds of cleansing: makeup remover, then liquid facial cleanser. It cleanses of quite easily and I haven’t had any bad breakouts from it. :)
