REVIEW: Laneige Jet Curling Mascara & Gel Liquid Liner in Black, Brown

I achieved this look using all 3 products shown below :) My lashes stayed perfectly curled the ENTIRE day and just a little flaking happened when I had accidentally rubbed my eyes. This mascara requires an oil based makeup remover for thorough removal and is so too, for the gel liquid liner.

IMG_1123My own lashes look like falsies, don’t they?:) This is after just 2 coats of mascara! I’m very impressed. It’s my go-to mascara for everyday makeup!

The spikes at the tip of the rubber brush is excellent, for it not only separates the tiniest lashes but also adds instant volume when added on top of the first even coat of mascara across the lashes. The formula is impressive too, not too wet but not to crunchy dry either. Just perfect lashes all day. THUMBS UP!

I wished that the brush tip of this gel liquid liner was thinner as I personally enjoy much thinner brush tips for eye lining. However, for beautiful people out there who can rock that gorgeous flicked eyeliner look, this eyeliner is definitely a dupe of the Urban Decay’s Liquid Eyeliners in terms of intensity and lasting power. However, It doesn’t dry as fast as many other gel liquid liners out there, so do give it some time to set if you do embark upon the dramatic eye lining eye makeup with this product. While the drawback is its dry down time, its lasting power on the lids is amazing! Very smudge resistant and intense in colour payoff once it’s fully dried!

Definitely check the Laneige Jet Curling mascara out if you’re up for some long lasting dramatic lashes :)

REVIEWS: Sailormoon Miracle Romance Eyeliners & Versailles Eyeliners

Here’s the number 1 top selling and highly raved Lady Oscar Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black. This is really intense and black, the point precision is really amazing. It’s even blacker and smoother than Heroine’s black eyeliner pen, IMHO. If you love budge-proof eyeliner looks form Japan, you HAVE to get this! Double champion winnings on @Cosme, a Japanese cosmetic award voted by users online.

Here I have the Versailles Lady Oscar black waterproof pen, brown waterproof pen as well as the gel liner. All 3 are form the same series.

From bottom to top – Versailles Lady Oscar black waterproof pen, brown waterproof pen as well as the gel liner!

See how just a wriggle of the brush can be seen so vividly on the skin? The colour is INTENSE OMGGGG!

The much awaited Sailormoon Miracle Romance Eyeliners! The green comes with the black eyeliner in one package, and the gold comes with the brown eyeliner in one package. The red and blue ones are sold separately.

The peach coloured one is a highlighting pencil in shimmery white, meant to be used on the lower lash line of lower waterline to brighten the eyes for that anima kawaii look that all Sailormoon girls have :)

Here’re the swatches! The green one was the most disappointing. The green swatch took me over 5 swipes to achieve that opacity. The black liner that comes with it in the package is really good though. The brown eyeliner isn’t as intense as the Versailles Lady Oscar eyeliner in brown, but is great for days when I want my eye lining eye makeup to look as natural as possible. The best one to definitely check out and buy is the blue one. All the multi-coloured liners here set to a almost budge-proof form and can be easily washed off with warm water. The blue one is the most intense in terms of colour payoff. The red one really doesn’t stand out for me as it looks more like a rusty red on my lash line. The orange one is great for the lower lash line for that pop of colour without looking odd, so it’s a much safer colour to pick. Plus, it comes with a brown eyeliner!

Here’re some eye makeup looks that I came up with using the different eyeliners mentioned in this post :) these were taken 5 hours into wearing the products on my lash line! ^^ The eyeliners stayed in pristine condition throughout the day and I’m really impressed. I would still choose the Versailles Lady Oscar eyeliner range over the Sailormoon Miracle Romance range since the quality and colour pigmentation are of much higher quality.

If you like coloured eyeliners, do give the Blue Sailormoon Miracle Romance eyeliner a go! It’s one of the best blue sparkly eyeliners that I have tried so far :) You won’t be disappointed.

Overall, these two eyeliner product ranges are impressive for what they’re priced at. They’re available at Watsons outlets :) I believe that the Watsons Member Sales held pretty frequently will make these buys an even better deal for you. I’ll definitely repurchase the Versailles Lady Oscar eyeliner products for sure!

Porcelain’s Flawless Skin Perfecting Moisturizer Review

Retail Price : S$165 for 50ml

I’ve used some skincare products from Porcelain before, and have found their products to be of high quality and definitely of very low irritation levels to my sensitive skin that flushes very easily.

This product is a lightweight moisturiser with SPF20 and a tinge of coverage to go along. It hydrates my skin well throughout the day and keeps the dry patches on my cheeks at bay. I use this as a makeup base before a thin layer of foundation and as the photo shows, the finish is radiant and smooth ^^

It’s been my go-to sunscreen base product for the last two weeks of product testing! It’s no parabens and oils in it too! As the day goes by, this base makes my makeup look dewy and fresh without that cake, heavy look. The price of this product is a little steep but a little does go a long way. I use a little blob of it for the entire face and that’s more than enough. The packaging is sleek and sturdy too, so it’s great for a summer getaway!

Price: S$12.00 each. Play 101 Pencil is NOW AVAILABLE at all Etude House Singapore stores.

Prior to receiving this package, I’d bought a couple of the browns and shimmery pinks in within this Play 101 Pencil range when I was shopping in Korea in early June. The pencils all come with a sharpener at the end, which makes sharpening really convenient. The lead isn’t too soft to the point that it breaks, so it’s a huge plus for me since many of the cosmetic pencils I have have lead that’re too creamy to withstand thorough sharpening. The shades are very vivid and glide on easily. The swatches show the intensity of the colours, don’t they? :)

I’ve been using these pencils all day for 6 weeks and counting, and I ABSOLUTELY love them. I always have an entire bundle beside my makeup stash because they can be used on the eyes, cheeks and lips!

Here, I used the browns in 48 & 50 for soft eye lining effect and the shimmery pinks (I can’t recall which ones) for the inner tear duct highlight. Cupid’s bow highlight was using the same shimmery colours too. Lips wise, it’s the shade in 20, which looks so stunning in person! I use it as an eyeliner for a pop of colour on my fun and flirty days ^^

I highly recommend these genius products that’re so budget-friendly and easy to use! Go swatch them at the Etude House stores and be ready to invest in a couple that’ll soon become your makeup staples too :)

Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion Review!

Being at the forefront of the Korean cosmetic industry, Etude House understands the incessant need for easy-to-apply make-up and sun care products by busy Asian women living in hot and humid climates. As such, this 6-in-1 Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion has been developed with whitening, sun-protection (SPF 34/PA++), wrinkle care, moisturising, sheer coverage and skin-cooling properties.

Here’s me using the Magic Peach under Sulwhasoo’s perfecting cushion foundation product :) I used Magic pink as a highlighter over my blush colour! Just look at that hue on the cheeks! Pretty right? :)

I used Magic Pink over the entire face before using Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Perfection Foundation. It gave me a youthful glow all night that I got lots of compliments for at the beauty event that I attended that night :)

I have been testing all 3 colours as a primer or finishing highlighter for the last 3 weeks. I love this colour correcting concept as I have dull skin from all the sleepless nights from rushing projects and reddish parts of my skin from acne scarring or colds. The compact is refillable and the air cushion sponge that comes with it disperses the product on the skin very evenly and coats the skin very lightly without making the next layer of foundation cake up. The packaging is stellar too, for the cutesy themed products that Etude House always scores with their monthly launches. The only drawback is that it can make your face appear white if you pile on too much. So just remember, this is a colour corrector, NOT foundation. So apply only what you need in small amounts and then bump the intensity up on areas that need some serious colour correcting. Fresh and dewy skin can only be possible when you make an effort to not pile on even thick layers of makeup. Spot concealing is key and to top things off, keep the cheeks area powder free for that natural glow on top of your blusher colour as the wear of your makeup prolongs throughout the day. That’s my main tip for glowing skin :) Of course, skincare is very much needed for a pretty face too! Drink lots of water and don’t forget you facial masks and serums! I’m currently on tea detox diet using SkinnyMint tea and have found it to have made my skin clear up much faster than before.

Do give these adorable and effective products a try at the Etude House counters! My top picks are the Magic Pink and Magic Mint ones! Those are great for everyday makeup and for ladies who have redness under the eyes and who have reddish acne scarring :)
