There is a reason why golden brown is one of the most popular shade of hair color among Singapore women. A subtle yet refreshing way to jazz up any hairstyle, golden brown is extremely versatile and suitable for women of all personalities. Whether you are going for the classy, sophisticated look or a more edgy, androgynous look, L’Oréal Paris Excellence Fashion in Luxurious Golds brings you two glamorous golden shades specially designed to complement Asian skin and eyes.
Worried about damaging your hair from coloring? L’Oréal Paris Excellence Fashion promises an intense color pay-off with spectacular shine while providing utmost care to your precious tresses with its triple care formula. Hot on the heels of the well-received Daring Reds and Exquisite Browns collections launched earlier this year, the Luxurious Golds collection is the latest installment in the L’Oréal Paris Excellence Fashion range, offering even more choices for the girls who love to change up their looks for an instant glamour.
With a unique formula that provides long-lasting, vibrant color, Excellence Fashion is infused with:
1. Hi-Shine Complex: For spectacular brilliance and shine
2. Hi-Intensity Pigments: For rich and intense color
3. Triple-Care Formula (Micro-Cera Essence + Amino Acid + Collagen): To protect, strengthen & nourish
hair while coloring so hair stays strong & silky-soft
Finding the right shade of gold is a tricky affair. Fair skin tones can experiment with brighter and bolder
blondes, as seen on Miley Cyrus and Anne Hathaway, while medium and Asian skin tones should follow
the lead of Blake Lively and stick to warmer tones such as Excellence Fashion’s Golden Nude Brown as
lighter blondes could drain your complexion. For cooler skin tones, stick to ash colors such as Excellence
Fashion’s Ashy Nude Brown that illuminates the skin.
Get a vibrant and glamorous luxurious golden brown hair in just 4 easy steps!
Step 1: Apply hair serum to protect your hair from potential damages
Step 2: Mix Protective Crème Colorant and Crème Developer together to form hair dye
Step 3: Apply mixture generously on hair and leave on for at least 35 minutes
Step 4: Wash your hair with a color-care shampoo and conditioner
To ensure long-lasting color and shine, use L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure, a professional range
comprising shampoo, conditioner and treatment specially formulated for color-treated hair. The 100%
sulfate-free formula cleanses and strengthens, while retaining the hair’s natural oils and liberates the
scalp from any irritation. With the addition of UVA and UVB filters in the conditioner and masques, hair
is protected from the sun’s destructive rays. The result? Healthy strong hair that is free from frizz,
allowing the new hair color to shine through.
The Luxurious Golds collection (2 shades) will be available from August 2013 onwards at Watsons,
Guardian, major supermarkets and hypermarkets and selected departmental stores.
My objective was to get a neutral, cooler tone of ash brown onto my sort-of yellowish brown hair colour on my bleached portions of my hair. I know that from the photos, it kinda looks like i used the Golden Nude Brown instead of the Ash Nude Brown. But I’m confident that the ash tones will show up more after about 10 washes or so. I like the fact that my hair was smooth and silky even after dyeing my hair and honestly, my hair felt smoother than how it felt prior to the dye! I’ve used the ones from the red collection before and have to say that among many of the colour dyes out there, this series from loreal will always be my first choice because it works amazingly well on virgin, completely untouched, undyed hair. So if you have never had a hair dye job and wanna get some colour in, the ones from this series will definitely give you a stronger colour payoff. For my dark hair, it’s been dyed a very dark colour before, so it’s impossible to reverse it much. Just tints of it here and there. I like the uneven colour tones in my hair cos it gives more dimension when i curl and teeze my hair into different hairdos. It’s a personal thing, I guess. I never like to be conventional
1 box wasn’t that quite enough for my hair that’s past my shoulders, so ladies with longer than the normal medium length hair, please do yourself a favor by buying 2 boxes! It’ll be worth your money when you get pretty hair that looks gorgeous all day long ^^
Hair Expertise invites customers to trade in their sulfate-containing hair care products – even empty bottles – for a Hair Expertise Shampoo.
Myth: Sudsy shampoos are better at cleaning the scalp.
Fact: They don’t. Instead, rich foamy shampoos can lead to unhealthy tresses.
The culprit? Sulfates, the foaming agent found in countless hair care products. This chemical detergent can aggravate scalps and damage hair fiber. Healthy hair becomes dry and hair colour becomes dull. Hair fibers become weak from lack of natural essential oils and eventually break. Those with sensitive scalps, especially, are susceptible to flaking and dryness, which can cause itchiness and scalp acne.
Sulfates = Harsh Detergents
Delicate hair strands and sensitive scalps easily fall victim to sulfates, especially since the main aim of these detergents are to completely encapsulate dirt and all oils, including the good ones so that water can wash it away. In fact, sulfates are actually used as the baseline standard irritant for sensitive skin, meaning that all other irritants to the skin are tested against it.
Sulfates can be absorbed through the hair fiber, skin and scalp, and the problem with sulfates lie in the fact that it is very difficult to completely remove foaming agents even after washing the hair, leading to a growing amount of sulfate deposit on the hair and scalp. This is exacerbated by the foam it produces which coats the scalp and hair, leading to a higher chance of depositing its particles in every part of your hair.
Sulfate-Free Can Be High-Performance
L’Oréal Paris, recognized by women worldwide as the leading expert in hair care, zeroed in quickly on the problem by providing premium sulfate-free options for consumers. L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise is one of the first affordable, high-quality ranges with a 100 per cent sulfate-free ingredient list, allowing this revolutionary hair care system to become the educator of the masses in terms of the benefits of sulfate-free ingredients in their hair care. In a research conducted by L’Oréal Paris and Republic Polytechnic’s Centre for Innovation and Enterprise, the effectiveness of the
L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise system was tested against both traditional mass non-conditioning shampoos and a high-end Salon brand system containing shampoo, conditioner and hair mask.
This qualitative research focused on smoothness and detangling – the top hair concerns for Singaporean women. The results showed that the L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise system performed 16 times better than the non-conditioning shampoo and two times better than the expensive salon brand, at an average of 7.72 seconds, with more consistent results than the other two.
Developed by L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise Laboratories to protect hair (and scalp) from the irritation of Sulfates, the Hair Expertise range includes four franchises specifically formulated for every hair type to ensure beautiful hair without chemical harshness: EverSleek (to smooth frizzy hair without the heavy additions), EverPure (to protect coloured hair for a longer-lasting colour and a healthier scalp), EverStrong (to strengthen weak and brittle hair) and EverCreme (to nourish and restore lost moisture to dry hair). For more information about the four ranges, please refer to Appendix 1.

“We often look to beauty secrets of the past as inspiration for now. One of the greatest ancestral beauty secrets comes from Morocco – Argan Oil. It is really a ‘super oil’ because it has so many benefits – strengthening, moisturizing, shine, damage relief, and the list goes on. When you buy Argan Oil for your hair you’re getting one of the best natural resources for healthy looking hair.”
– Marc Anthony Stylist Team
Argan Oil – the foundation for the Oil of Morocco collection. This powerful Moroccan oil, with an added boost of strengthening Keratin, has been infused into each product to create a full system for high moisture and unbeatable strength. It starts with your wash to rid hair of impurities while gently moisturizing; then to your condition for super hydration, shine and restoration. Finally a daily lightweight oil treatment to impart strength, add shine and control frizz.
Apply 1-3 drops (depending on hair length and texture) to damp or dry hair and distribute evenly from roots to ends. Do not rinse. Style as usual. Use daily for best results.
For extra dry, damaged hair apply 2-4 drops to dry hair before bedtime. Leaves no residue or color deposit.
My overall review of all 3 products:
The best performing product that’s worth every penny is definitely the treatment oil! It makes my hair feel SO SMOOTH that I am choosing to use it over my Matrix Camelia Hair Serum that I bought at Shunji Matsuo. Both are very effective in keeping my hair frizz free, but this one by Marc Anthony wins hands down as it really leaves no residue or oily film on the hair and keeps the hair feeling fresh and lightweight ALL DAY! I can’t ask for more! One of the best haircare products that I’ve tried so far. As for the shampoo and conditioner, while they are effective in keeping the hair smooth and added a slight bit of volume to the roots, they didn’t impress me that much as compared to the Instantly Thick and Dream Waves series. Still, both products will definitely complement the treatment oil in giving you the final result of smooth, manageable hair that is shiny and healthy looking. I’m not too picky about the scent of argan oil and neither am I allergic to it (do skip this range if you are!). If you are picky about the scent of any kind of oils like olive or citrus oils, you may wanna have a whiff at it first at the drugstore before purchasing. It’s nothing too overwhelming or unbearable, it’s just a pity that a floral or sweet vanilla scent wasn’t added in to enhance the user’s experience.
Overall, this is a haircare range that is best suited for those with dry, frizzy and unruly hair that needs deep nourishment and conditioning.

I can’t say enough good things about the improved formula of the Tsubaki Range! The new formula has a 20% higher concentration of its active ingredients to ensure that every single strand of hair is well nourished from the roots to the tip!
I’m currently using the SHINING formula and in my opinion, it’s the best-smelling and most effective one out of the three for my hair type. I have very thick, poker straight hair and I dye my hair in all sorts of colours every 2-3 months
I am very very VERY particular about how my hair looks and feels like because it’s one of the first things that people notice when they first look at anyone else. Healthy, shiny and lightweight hair like shampoo hair ad models, that’s what Tsubaki boasts to give to its users and it sure did deliver that for my hair!
5/5 rating from me!
can i give a 6/5? yup, it’s that good! I’m sticking to this range until I find something else that works even better!
They retail at S$17.90 each at Watsons and other drugstores islandwide.
Highly recommended, go try it :)
